PHOTO CONTEST GUIDELINES

  1. Every Monday during each Session (starting July 4th), UCI Summer Session will announce the photo contest's Theme of the Week on the UCI Summer Session Facebook page, Instagram, and through email.

  2. Participants will then upload pictures to Facebook/Instagram using the hashtag #myUCIsummer by Friday midnight each week. The picture must be set in public audience as shown on the left for our team to find the picture.

  3. The Photo of the Week winner will be picked based on the number of likes the picture receives on Facebook/Instagram by Saturday and will be announced the following Monday when the new Theme of the Week is announced!

  4. The winner with the most likes on their photo will receive a $20 Amazon gift card, and the winner’s photo will be shared on the Facebook page, Instagram, and this website.

During Summer Session I & II, UCI Summer Session will host a photo contest called #myUCIsummer. Take a photo that showcases your summer experience at UCI, upload it to Facebook/Instagram using the hashtag #myUCIsummer, and you'll be entered into our weekly contest.

At the end of each Session, on July 25th and September 7th, Summer Session staff will select and announce an ultimate grand prize winner chosen from all the submissions entered into our summer photo contest.  The winner will receive a $50 Amazon gift card!

We want to see photos of you (yes, selfies are also welcome) that showcase your summer and experiences on campus. The photos can feature UCI landmarks, classes (make sure it's okay with your professor), summer events, your visits to campus resources such as the Anteater Recreation Center (ARC), Aldrich Park, Langson Library, Ayala Science Library, and so on. Don’t forget to be creative, and make sure your photos fit the week’s theme!

RULES & GUIDELINES

  • Photo must be the entrant’s original work.

  • Photo must be set in public audience for our team to find the picture.

  • Individuals can submit one photo that is relevant to the theme of the week.

  • At least one person must be in the picture.

  • Pictures must be uploaded to Facebook with the hashtag #myUCIsummer before the contest deadline (midnight Friday each week).

  • ​Upload photo by midnight on every Friday and Winners will be announced on following Monday via email

    • ​Ultimate Grand Prize: Announced Monday, July 25, 2016 and Wednesday, September 7, 2016.

  • ​Use or display of any inappropriate content and language in pictures will disqualify the entrant.

  • Participants must be enrolled UCI Summer Session students.

  • UCI or UCI Summer Session gear and/or use of the Zot hand-sign is encouraged.

  • By submitting a photo, you are granting its unrestricted use by UCI Summer Session.

  • Each student is limited to winning the contest once per session (not including the grand prize)
